For the Lord’s Day 10.12.14

Dear Covenant Church Family,

Galatians 2:16 16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

1 John 2:15 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Mark 4:18-19 18 And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, 19 but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

Proverbs 11:4 4 Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

Proverbs 11:28 28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.
